Birth. The prevailing wisdom is that Samuel Reed was born in Ireland. 1750 and 1751 are dates I have seen online, especially on Ancestry.com's trees. Does anyone have a clue as to the origin of this date?
Residence in 1800: "South Side of Edisto River;" listed as Samuel Read.
